The Storm

The wind blew like a angry voice,
And the clouds went black.
The sand on the shore blew all o'er,
And the sun the sky did lack.
The sea crashed in enormous waves,
And the animals ran for their lives.
The wind bent the grass like a wild thing,
And the trees swayed and waved.
The ships at sea nearly sunk.
And the waves forced the rocks to cave.
But, when the clouds parted,
And the sun came out again,
And the waves calmed down, and lapped at the ground,
We all sighed, and grinned.
