Monkey Poem

There were once two monkeys,

Sitting on a rock.

One named Jilly,

The other named  Jock.

Jock brushed Jilly's back,

And Jilly brushed Jock's.

And that's the story.

Of the monkeys on the rocks.

Lion

The Lion is a brave creature.
With a lot of strength besides.
He has a long, beautiful mane.
And large and cat-like eyes.
As he waits on the ground, 
He takes a great bound.
And catches the gazelle in his claws.
He sneaks up on it,
And then it gets bit.
Between his cavernous jaws.

BFF

You and me.

Together, forever we'll be.

Best friends, you see,

You and me.

Ice Cream Poem

 

Have you ever,

Begun your chores,

When you hear that lovely song,

And you run outdoors.

The song of an ice cream truck,

Full of cheer.

It calls out,

"Get your Ice Cream here!"

 

Have you ever played outside,

Playing that game where you seek and hide?

And you hear that cheery chime.

Shouting"Ice Cream time!"

And you run and get a cone.

 

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Mother of mine,

Oh Mother of mine.

You are the greatest of them all,

And you are the kindest,

The smartest,

And the best of them all!

We have a wonderful time,

Us all,

We always have a ball.

Us kids, we don't always obey you,

But we try.

And we sometimes do.

So, we wish you a very Happy Birthday.

Because we think you are very great!

Rapunzel in the Tower

Rapunzel in the tower,

Stared out the window, dreamily.

"Who will my true love be?

Someday,

Someone,

Will come for me.

May he be handsome,

May he be fair.

He will call,  'Rapunzel,

 Let down your long hair.'

Someday,

He,

Will set me free.

Who will he be?

Who will he be?"
