Books

A book opens up.
An adventure awaits!
So come on me hearties,
Come on my mates!
Reading can,magically,
Take you where you want to be.
It takes you up and down the stairs.
And underneath the parlor chairs.
The only way to get inside,
Is open the book.
Come on and try it!
Believe me, you won't denie it.
You can be anywhere, it's true.
'Cause the only one to decide is you!

Tightrope

On a large rope, teetering.
The wind blowing by.
A man walks across the grand canyon.
A rope in the sky.
Oh no!
Will he fall?
He got to the other side!
Yea!
(I knew he could do it.)

Rockabye Baby

Rockabye, Baby.
Safe in my hands.
You are more precious.
Than all the jewels in all the lands.
Go to sleep now.
I love you.
So rockabye, Baby.
God loves you too!

Window

As I look out my window, happily,
These are the people that I see.
A groggy jogger jogging away,
An old lady with a parasol.
A sign saying "Sale Today!"
A bright red car saying"Sold."
These are the people that I see,
As I look out my window happily.

Seasons

These are the seasons.
They always have reasons.
Spring is when babies are born.
Summer is when you plant your corn.
Fall is when Thanksgiving is, you know.
And Winter brings cold and snow.
Four little seasons,
Now I've shown you their reasons.

Caroline

  Caroline, liked  to dine.
She would eat, sweets and meat.
She got fat, fatter than the cat.
  "Boy, that Caroline would dine!"
Her brothers would like to say.
   For, every day without fail,
She would dine on bon-bons and quail.
She would not eat, veggies and beets.
She would only eat sweet meats.
Till one day, she grew ill.
Instead of giving her a pill,
   The Doctor told her,
"Eat more beets and eat less sweets!
So, Caroline grew healthy, no longer sick.

   For now, nutrition is what,
   She will always pick!

Sand dollars Look Like Money

Sand dollars look like money.
Except they have no shine.
Rubies look like big cherries.
On which I like to dine.
Mud looks like chocolate cake.
Except that it is dirty.
Beetles look like gems.
Except they go up my shirty.
